The BJP has intensified its protest in Bengaluru demanding the resignation of Karnataka Minister B Nagendra. BJP leaders and workers staged demonstrations as the political dispute with the ruling Congress government continued.
Leader of Opposition R Ashoka has been leading the pressure against the government, while BJP leaders have demanded action over the issues surrounding Nagendra. The protest has also resulted in tense scenes between demonstrators and police.
Several leaders were detained during the demonstrations. The issue has become one of the major political flashpoints in Karnataka during the current Assembly session.
